Dreams don’t work unless…we do.
When thinking of starting a food business it is typical to imagine endless possibilities with the sky is the limit perspective. However, sometimes we fail to think of worse case scenarios. The key to success, well in my opinion, is all in the preparation. Remembering to keep in mind that unexpected occurrences do happen. My journey leading up to this point has had a few unexpected/unplanned for moments that cause me to have to reexamine my timeline of expectations. I found that there are moments where things will go according to plan and then there are moments where road blocks make it daunting to move forward. Truly discovering that everything is not always on our own timing, no matter how much planning and preparation. One thing is for certain, no matter the obstacle; we can accomplish our dreams if we continue to move forward… continue to do the work.
Personally, through this journey from concept to fruition I have continuously evolved, learned and pushed forward. There were moments that truly tested me in every sense of the word, but at times when I felt I was losing momentum I found solace in my community of supporters. Food for thought- when you are aligned with a community of people who truly want you to succeed, there is an outpouring of encouragement, endless support and positive affirmations. This only added to the fabric that has fueled my efforts to push forward and work harder.
This food journey has provided a pathway of opportunity for me to learn, overcome and face my own anxieties. It has also shown me that dreams are made possible through dedicated efforts. Dedication to succeed is a powerful motivator. Coupled with a mission to connect; my journey has led me to this moment. My food trailer is here, in real life; for what was once a dream is now my reality. Ono Mexican Food, coming soon!
